Mark Laird

Mark Laird has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Mark currently works as a Principal Data Engineer at 1-800 CONTACTS since September 2021. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Principal Data Engineer at Ancestry from April 2019 to September 2021. Mark also has experience working as a Principal Business Intelligence Engineer from November 2011 to April 2019 and as a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst from January 2008 to November 2011, both at Ancestry. Before joining Ancestry, Mark worked as a Software Engineer and Data Warehouse Developer at Ancestry from March 2005 to January 2008. Mark began their career as a Software Engineer at Waterford Institute from January 2000 to March 2005.

Mark Laird earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University in 1997. Mark later went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they obtained in 1999.
