Alex Skrynnyk

Alex Skrynnyk is a Staff Software Engineer at 10x Genomics, where technical leadership continues on the in situ sequencing instrument since January 2021. Previously, Alex served as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer at ReadCoor, Inc., contributing to the development of a novel in situ genomic sequencing instrument and leading various engineering initiatives. Responsibilities included designing distributed embedded systems architecture and implementing device control software, while also authoring a significant distributed embedded software framework. Early career experiences include an Undergraduate Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, developing robotic control firmware and performing molecular biology experiments. Alex earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Computer Science from Colby College in 2017.
