Poornasree Kumar

Poornasree Kumar is a scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and genomics, currently serving as Scientist 1 at 10x Genomics since February 2021, following roles as Senior Research Associate 1 and Senior Research Associate 2. Prior to this, Poornasree worked at Miroculus from January 2018 to January 2021, advancing through positions from Associate Scientist to Scientist III. Poornasree's research contributions include studying microRNA regulation of gene expression in peanut roots and the molecular mechanisms of sugarcane response to aluminum stress. Poornasree also has experience in transcriptome analysis of cotton affected by Root Knot Nematode and involvement in NextGen Sequencing Projects focused on data analysis. Poornasree holds a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Texas Tech University and two Master’s Degrees in Zoology, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Banaras Hindu University.
