Jernara Bussey

Jernara Bussey is an experienced media professional with a strong background in broadcast journalism and content creation. Currently serving as an Assignment Manager and Producer at 13News Now (WVEC) since June 2011, Jernara is responsible for assembling, writing, and executing live newscasts. Jernara's prior roles include Production Assistant, where studio operations were managed, and positions as Content Specialist at BKA Content and $99 Social, focusing on SEO-friendly content creation and social media strategies for various clients. Jernara completed a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Hampton University between 2007 and 2011, and also gained valuable experience as an intern at The E.W. Scripps Company in 2010.
