Chris Gilbert's work experience begins in 2007 at Popcornopolis, where they worked as an In-House Design/Marketing employee. Chris was responsible for art directing photo shoots, designing in-store training manuals, collateral, and promotional emails. Chris also designed and implemented web-store graphics and oversaw web design. From 2009 to 2009, they interned at Daniel Clark & Associates, where they learned finishing art and retouching techniques, working on projects such as Monsters Vs. Aliens and Disney's A Christmas Carol. In 2012, Chris worked as a Creative Intern at Mullen, where they contributed to projects for clients like JetBlue and U.S. In 2013, they joined The VIA Agency as a Copywriter until 2014. Chris then joined MullenLowe U.S. in 2014, working as a Copywriter until 2016, and later becoming a Senior Copywriter until 2017. At MullenLowe U.S., they served clients such as TaxAct, E*Trade, Schick, Banana Boat, Burger King, New York Bakery, Cointreau, JetBlue, Mt. Gay Rum, Banner Health, and New Biz. Chris continued their career at Big Spaceship in 2020 as a Senior Copywriter until 2021. Currently, they are working at 160over90 as an Associate Creative Director, responsible for writing, pitching, conversing, improving morale, and presenting weird, offbeat, but always on-strategy ideas.

Chris Gilbert attended ArtCenter College of Design from 2009 to 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Advertising Design.
