Chris McPherson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science, business intelligence, and strategic planning. Currently, they are a Co-Founder at TakeUp, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, Chris worked as a Data Science Leader at 1848 Ventures, backed by Westfield, starting in January 2020. Before that, they co-founded Loidsig LLC in August 2017.
Chris also has experience in the automotive industry, having worked at Dealer Tire as a Manager of Data Science from May 2019 to January 2020, and as a Senior Data Scientist from August 2018 to May 2019. Chris started their career as a Data Scientist at Dealer Tire in January 2017, where they worked until August 2018.
In addition, Chris has worked as a Data Engineer at IgnitionOne from September 2015 to December 2016, where they developed and supported Big Data systems and data pipelines. Chris also has experience as a Business Intelligence Developer at Progressive Insurance from May 2014 to September 2015, at Austin Powder Company from October 2013 to May 2014, and at The Timken Company from May 2012 to October 2013.
Chris began their career as a Data Warehouse Intern at The University of Akron in February 2012, where they worked until May 2012. Throughout their career, Chris has gained expertise in data analysis, data engineering, strategic planning, and business intelligence.
Chris McPherson obtained a Master's Degree in Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley between the years 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education at The University of Akron from 2009 to 2013. During this time, they focused on Information Systems Management, which falls under the field of study of Business.
