Jason Del Rio has worked in a variety of roles in the research field since 2010. In 2010, they worked as a Student Researcher at UC Irvine under the direction of Dr. Steven P. Gross in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology, where they investigated Microtubule Based Transport and Biomechanics/Biophysics. In 2012, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, San Diego, and as a Researcher at King's College London under the direction of Dr. Mark Pfhul in the Randall Division, where they investigated protein structure using NMR spectroscopy to study the functional regulation (or misregulation) of kinase cascades in myocardiac tissue and cancer. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate II at Peptide Logic. Currently, they are working as a Data Scientist and Research Associate at 1859 Inc.

Jason Del Rio obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego between 2012 and 2017. Prior to that, they attended UC Irvine from 2009 to 2012. In 2014, they obtained a Micro-MBA from The Rady School of Management.
