Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe

Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe serves as the Director at 18Doors since June 2015, bringing extensive experience in Jewish educational and community leadership. Previously, Rabbi Packer-Monroe held the position of Rabbi at Vassar College, where responsibilities included advising Jewish students. A commitment to innovative worship is evident through the founding of monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services, as well as pioneering a non-orthodox Shacharit service in Tel Aviv. Additional roles include facilitating programs aimed at fostering Jewish identity among youth and leading Shabbat services for those in nursing homes. Rabbi Packer-Monroe's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, alongside degrees in education and English from Lesley University and the University of Rochester, respectively.
