Peter Bertinato

Peter Bertinato has extensive experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Peter is currently serving as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at 1910 Genetics. Prior to this role, they held the same position at ReverieLabs from August 2021 to July 2023. Peter also has a significant background as an Independent Medicinal Chemistry Consultant, where they worked with various companies such as Galectin Sciences LLC and Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. from January 2014 to September 2021. Additionally, they have held positions at Eisai Research Institute, Eisai, EPIX Pharmaceuticals, and Pfizer, where they contributed to various projects and demonstrated expertise in medicinal chemistry, drug design, and project leadership.

Peter Bertinato holds a Post-doctoral degree in synthetic organic chemistry from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, which they obtained in 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry at UC San Diego between 1990 and 1995. Peter'sundergraduate studies were conducted at Montclair State University from 1980 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry.
