Stephen Roseman

Stephen Roseman, CFA, is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of 1970 Group since 2020. Prior to this role, Stephen served as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at SPY from July 2009 to January 2020, achieving a successful exit to a strategic buyer in September 2019. Stephen held leadership positions at Spencer Capital Holdings, including President and Board Member from June 2016 to September 2019, as well as President, CEO, and Board Member of USA Risk Group during 2018. Additionally, Stephen was Chairman of the Board for SouthWest Dealer Services and a Board Member for Spencer Re, all part of Spencer Capital Holdings. Previous experience includes roles at Spencer Capital Advisors and Calamos Investments, and Stephen is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Thesis Fund Management. Educational credentials include an OPM from Harvard Business School, an EP from Singularity University, an MBA in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business, and a BA in French Literature from Arizona State University.
