David Bird

David Bird currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer at 1MED SA since February 2025. Before this role, David held various positions at Premier Research from June 2012 to February 2025, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Business Development, where focus was on therapeutic areas essential to biotech and specialty pharmaceuticals. Prior to Premier Research, David worked at Encorium Oy/Ltd as Director of Business Development, generating business across Scandinavia and the UK. Additional experience includes roles at SRA Global Clinical Development, i3 Research, Constella Group, Health Decisions, and ICON Clinical Research, with a strong emphasis on clinical trials and business development in the healthcare sector. David holds an MSc in Toxicology and a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham.
