Julie Sommerville

Julie Sommerville is a seasoned engineering leader currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at 1Password since July 2023, and as a Chief Member at Chief since July 2021, contributing to the empowerment of senior women leaders. Prior to these roles, Julie was VP of Engineering at ChartHop from January 2020 to June 2023, and held a similar position at Capsule from September 2018 to December 2019. Julie's extensive experience in engineering includes previous roles such as Director of Engineering at Blue Apron and VP of Engineering, Director of Backend Engineering, and Software Architect at Business Insider, among others. Julie's educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology and degrees in International Relations/Law and Law from esteemed institutions.
