Silvano Brugnoni has worked in the IT industry since 2005. Silvano began their career at Woertz AG Elektrotechnik as an IT Professional, having completed an IT Professional Apprenticeship with the same company. In 2014, they joined the Institute for Software as a Software Engineer. There, they worked on research projects, developed software, and assisted in the teaching of bachelor and MAS students. Silvano created code analysis and transformation tools to exploit parallelism in legacy C++ within the scope of the EU-funded REPARA research project. Silvano also co-supervised student projects and bachelor theses on refactoring and code analysis tools. In 2016, they joined 1plusX as a Tech Lead Manager, then as a Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer.
