Ken Szczur has a strong background in coaching and business development. Ken currently serves as the Head Coach of the Varsity Softball team at Greater Johnstown High School, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant High School Softball Coach from March 2019 to March 2022. Ken also has experience in the banking industry, where they worked as the Vice President and Senior Business Development Officer at 1ST SUMMIT BANK since October 1982. In addition to their coaching and banking roles, they have also served as the Head Coach of the Johnstown Middle School Girls Softball Team from February 2014 to February 2018, and as an Assistant Coach for the Johnstown Middle School Softball Team from January 2008 to May 2011.
Ken Szczur received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting, Management, and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in 1981. Ken completed their high school education at the Greater Johnstown High School, earning a diploma in 1977. In 2011, Ken obtained a certificate in Commercial Lending from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, School of Commercial Lending. Additionally, they received a certificate from the John B Gunter Community Leadership Initiative in 1998. Ken also holds additional certifications, including Coaching Clearances for Schools (Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114) and the Mortgage Lender NMLS#544288.
