Manny Renteria

Manny Renteria has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar and wind energy. Manny served as the Chief Executive Officer of 1UpSolar, where they provided scalable solar solutions to meet individual client needs. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Empowered Consultants, and as the Co-Founder and Director of Business Development at CM Solar Electric. Manny also gained experience as a Business Systems Analyst at OneRoof Energy, Inc., and as a Lead Energy Instructor at Troop Transition. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Wind Technician at GE Energy and as an Operations-Crew Lead at SolarCity. Renteria began their career at Helix Electric, where they worked their way from apprentice to Jobsite Foreman as a Journeyman Electrician, working primarily with building wiring, switch gear installation, and residential and commercial scale projects.

Manny Renteria began their education in 1983 at AutoDidact, where they obtained a Master of Learning degree in Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician. Manny also obtained several certifications, including the GE 1.5MW O&M Course from General Electric in 2010, NABCEP certified installer from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in 2009, Advanced Principals of Photovoltaics Design from Allied Business Schools Inc. in 2006, and OSHA 500 Trainer Course from UCSD in 2011.
