Ed Fries

Ed Fries currently serves as a General Partner at 1Up Ventures since February 2019 and holds a position as a Board of Commissioners member at the Smithsonian American Art Museum since February 2016. As Board Chair of the IGDA Foundation since May 2014, Ed Fries focuses on enhancing diversity and inclusion within the game development community. Additionally, Ed Fries is a Board Member for Ancient Egypt Research Associates and Exponential Entertainment, and provides advisory roles for ESTV, Animoca Brands, and Litesprite. Ed Fries is also a Program Advisory Committee Member at Digipen Institute of Technology. Educationally, Ed Fries obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology between 1982 and 1986.
