Peter Lownds

Peter Lownds is an experienced barrister currently employed at 2 Hare Court since March 2013, specializing in complex criminal cases, white collar fraud, and criminal regulatory and disciplinary matters. Previously, Peter served as a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers from September 1998 to March 2013. Peter began a legal career as an in-house solicitor at the National Union of Teachers from 1996 to 1998, focusing on employment disputes, health and safety, and regulatory issues. Prior roles include solicitor positions at PARLETT KENT, specializing in claimant medical negligence cases from 1994 to 1996, and as an assistant commercial litigation solicitor at Slaughter and May from 1991 to 1994. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Political Science and Government from Brunel University of London, completed in 1987, and attended Bishop Luffa from 1977 to 1983.
