Ruth Connaughton

Ruth Connaughton's work experience includes roles as a Creative Services Assistant at 23red starting in October 2022, an Account Executive at The Union from January 2021 to October 2022, a Childcare Support Worker at MEARNS AFTER SCHOOL CARE SERVICE LIMITED from August 2019 to December 2020, a Public Relations Intern at Holyrood PR from August 2020 to October 2020, a Childcare Play Worker at South Morningside After School Care Club from August 2017 to June 2019, and various roles within the Edinburgh University Sports Union from March 2017 to April 2019. Ruth also worked as a Camp Counsellor at CAMP PONTIAC, LLC in June 2018 and as a Writer & Copy-Editor at The Student (newspaper) from September 2016 to May 2017. Ruth had front of house experience at the Edinburgh Festival through Edinburgh University Students' Association in July 2016.

Ruth Connaughton began their education in 2014 at Northern Ballet School, where they studied Dance. Ruth then went on to attend The University of Edinburgh from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a degree in Business Management MA (Hons). In addition to their formal education, Ruth has obtained several certifications, including a UK Driving License from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in June 2022, an IPA Foundation Certificate - Credit from the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) in August 2021, and Stage 1: Acting from Acting Coach Scotland in November 2019. Ruth also holds certifications in Advanced Foundation Classical Ballet and Grade 8 Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance, which they obtained in June 2014. Ruth has further accomplishments, including a Bronze Award from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in May 2014 and Grade 4 Piano from ABRSM in December 2012.
