German Vergara

German Vergara is a seasoned professional in vivarium operations and compliance, currently serving as Sr. Vivarium Operations and Compliance Manager at 23andMe since July 2021. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Vergara was Senior Director of Operations at Pfizer, overseeing scientific operations for Pfizer Oncology in South San Francisco, and a member of the site leadership team. Prior roles include Director at Rinat Neuroscience, managing animal care programs and vivarium operations, Region Sales Representative at The Jackson Laboratory, Scientist at Parke-Davis, and Manager of the Knockout Core Facility at Incyte Genomics. Vergara holds a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Southern Illinois University, along with an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
