Shakeel Rajwani

Shakeel Rajwani has extensive experience in control systems engineering and automation. Shakeel started their career in 2005 as a Process Control Engineer co-op at Weyerhaeuser. Shakeel then worked at ABB from 2007 to 2011, where they were involved in various control systems projects and led automation projects throughout the systems lifecycle.

After ABB, Shakeel worked at KZenEdge as an Automation/SCADA Systems Engineering Lead from 2011 to 2013, providing technical leadership on automation/SCADA projects in the oil and gas industry.

Shakeel joined Devon Energy in 2013 and held two roles during their tenure. As a Principal Control Systems and Advanced Process Control Engineer, they led the development of advanced process control solutions and collaborated on automation and AI technology projects. Later on, as a Digital Technology Business Development Engineer, they identified and progressed opportunities to apply new digital technologies to improve operations.

In 2019, Shakeel joined AeroFarms as a Senior Controls/Data Engineer. Shakeel developed control system engineering standards, migrated legacy SCADA systems to an IoT platform, and built robust data pipelines and RESTful APIs for IoT data.

From 2021 to 2022, Shakeel worked at Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics, initially as a Staff Controls Engineer and later as a Principal/Lead Controls Engineer - Safety PLC Team Lead.

Shakeel'smost recent position is at Rivian, where they have been working since 2022 as an Automation Controls Engineering Manager, specializing in Paint Shop Integration.

Shakeel's next role will be as a Principal Controls Engineer and Team Lead at 24M Technologies, starting in 2023.

Shakeel Rajwani holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering and Management - Systems Design Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which was earned from 2012 to 2014. Shakeel also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, obtained from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained the TUV F.S. Eng certification from TÜV Rheinland AG in November 2014.
