Joann Flaminio has an extensive career in leadership and retirement policy, highlighted by significant roles within prominent organizations. As the first woman to be elected President of the Boston Athletic Association from 2011 to 2017, Joann led the organization through the critical aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. Prior to this role, Joann worked at Fidelity Investments from 2000 to 2017, serving as Vice-President of Retirement Policy and negotiating major client agreements as Senior Director, demonstrating expertise in retirement issues and strategic communications. Joann's earlier experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Employees Retirement System of Rhode Island, overseeing retirement programs for state employees. Joann holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tufts University.
