Arja Pesonen

Arja Pesonen serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Hankejohtaja at Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue since October 2021, overseeing the preparation of administration, finance, and support services. In addition, Arja has been the Chairman of the Board at 2M-IT Oy since March 2018. Previously, Arja held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Turku University Hospital from March 2011 to February 2022 and served as Chairman of the Board at Medbit Oy from May 2012 to February 2018. Arja's earlier experience includes the role of Financial Control Manager at North Karelia Central Hospital from April 2009 to March 2011. Arja holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Eastern Finland and has a Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration from Kuopio Institute of Commerce. Additional studies were completed at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu.
