Kent Huang has worked in various roles since 2012. In 2012, they served as a Substitute Military Service Draftee as Administrative Assistant at the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration in Taiwan. In 2013, they worked as a Software Developer Trainee at the Institute for Information Industry, where they received training in software development and knowledge of computer science, network, and database. Kent also revamped a legacy online journal system and implemented new features. In 2016, they worked as a Front-End Developer Intern at Project Hub, where they worked directly with clients to develop user interfaces of various commercial websites, ensuring responsiveness of layouts and UI components to provide smooth user experience. Kent also reduced 20% of page load time by minimizing HTTP requests, minifying files, and reducing image sizes. In 2017, they worked as a Front End Web Developer Intern at CompAndSave.com, where they created more than 30 landing pages for 3 e-commerce websites, developed and maintained e-commerce platforms using Magento and Volusion, and collaborated with UI/UX designers to create adaptive, responsive, and pixel perfect layouts for all devices. Since 2018, they have worked as a Front-End Developer at 2NDNATURE.

Kent Huang obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 2009 and 2011. Kent then obtained an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification from the California State Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in December 2011. In 2014, they began pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) in Software Engineering at San Jose State University, which they completed in 2017.
