Mandla Mbasane

Mandla Mbasane currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer and Acting Chief Information Officer at the National Housing Finance Corporation SA since June 2021. In addition to this role, Mandla is an assessor for the University of Cape Town's Fundamentals of Cyber Security course and for Harvard VPL's Managing Risk in the Information Age. Mandla is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at the University of South Africa from 2025 to 2029. Mandla holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Africa. Additionally, Mandla earned both a Bachelor of Science and an Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Zululand, with the Honours degree awarded with a First Class Pass.
