Matthew Leavy

Matthew Leavy serves as the Chief Operating & Product Officer at 2U since January 2025, overseeing enrollment and service delivery operations as well as learning experience, product strategy, design, and production functions. In addition to this role, Matthew is the Principal at Leavy Consulting LLC, focusing on value-creating change initiatives for companies and educational enterprises. Previously, Matthew held several key positions at Wiley, including Executive Vice President of Operations, where responsibilities included global operations and transforming the company to meet market demands, as well as leading education products and Higher Education publishing. Matthew’s early career at Pearson plc included roles such as Managing Director of Global Managed Services and Chief Executive Officer of eCollege, where growth was significantly achieved. Additionally, Matthew contributed as a Board Member for UTEL Universidad, promoting innovative online education solutions. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.
