George Kirkland

George co-founded RaiseMe, an ed-tech company that re-invented college financial aid, in 2012. Over 3 million high school students have used the RaiseMe platform to earn over $10Bn in micro-scholarships from colleges across the US. RaiseMe was acquired by Campus Logic in July of 2020. Prior to RaiseMe, Mr. Kirkland spent five years as an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley. While there, he was a part of Student Sponsorship Partners, a mentorship program supporting underserved high school students in the Bronx. Mr. Kirkland is a University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education Fellow and was a Medlin Scholar at UNC Chapel Hill, where he double majored in Business and Public Policy. Mr. Kirkland is also a longtime NACAC member and has presented on college access at numerous regional and national conferences.
