James is the Lead Software Developer on the Callimachus Project sponsored by 3 Round Stones. James is expert in Semantic Web application development and object-oriented design. He is has crafts linked data models and maps business workflows to elegant, highly scalable production systems for enterprises. James is an avid Open Source committer on a number of cool projects that power the semantic web.

James is a longtime Web standards proponent. He uses his wide-ranging experience in Web development to move semantic Web technologies from the research lab to practical solutions, improving business productivity and efficiency. He has been an active architect and leader on some of the most well known and used semantic web Open Source Software projects including OpenRDF Sesame library, an RDF library for parsing, indexing, and querying RDF using SPARQL; OpenRDF AliBaba and Elmo RDF-object mapper for aspect/subject oriented composition of object rules; PURL server, a distributed resource identifier management system; and of course, Callimachus, a Linked Data management system.

James earned his Bachelor of Computer Science and Mathematics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
