Melsa Ararat is the Chair of 30% Club Turkey at The 30% Club. Melsa was previously a Visiting Professor at the University of Groningen from February 2015 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were a coordinator at the Emerging Markets Corporate Governance Research Network from January 2005 to December 2018.

Ararat has also worked as an associate at the International Business Leaders Forum from June 2001 to December 2002 and as a managing partner at Illac Ltd. from January 1997 to December 2000. Additionally, they served as a representative director and board member at T&O Consulting from January 1997 to December 2000.

Melsa Ararat's educational career began with a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University. Melsa then earned a PhD in Business Policy and Strategy from Istanbul University. After that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Thermodynamics from Ege University, IZMIR. Finally, they earned their High School Diploma from BURROUGHS HIGH SCHOOL in the USA.
