Alana Beard

Alana Beard is the Founder and President of the 318 Foundation, Inc, which aims to close the opportunity gap for girls in historically underserved communities. Alana is also the Founder and CEO of Transition Play. Alana is currently a Board Member at SmartRent and previously worked as a Senior Associate at Silicon Valley Bank. Alana has experience as a Co-Owner and Franchisee at Home-Grown Industries of Ga, Inc. dba Mellow Mushroom. Alana was also a Women's National Basketball Association Professional Athlete, playing for the Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics. Alana also worked as an ESPN/ACC Network Women’s Basketball Analyst. Alana graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
