Karen Davern

Karen Davern, PMP has extensive work experience in project management and business analysis.

Karen is currently working as a Senior Business Analyst at Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds.

From 2018 to 2021, Karen served as the Program Director/VP of Career and Professional Development at PMI Westchester Chapter on a voluntary basis. In this role, they used entrepreneurial leadership skills to shape and enhance the PMIW education program and promote professional growth among members.

Karen also worked as a Project Manager at Westchester County Government from 2020 to 2021. Karen provided technical oversight for COVID-19 pandemic data collection systems, leading to improved functionality and business processes. Karen successfully implemented transformative changes in alignment with the county's business strategy.

From 2018 to 2020, Karen held the position of IT Project Manager at Mercy College. Karen managed a portfolio of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful installation and implementation while meeting stakeholder needs and expectations.

Previously, from 2016 to 2017, Karen worked as a Sales Analyst/Project Manager at NATIONAL HOME HEALTH CARE (NHHC), and from 2013 to 2016, they served as a Business Analyst at ACCESS Nursing Services. In both roles, they contributed to revenue cycle management, process improvement, compliance, and problem resolution.

During their tenure at Hudson Valley Community Services from 2006 to 2013, Karen worked as a Database/Project Manager. Karen'sresponsibilities included managing databases and overseeing projects.

Earlier in their career, they held the position of Administrative Assistant & Marketing Project Manager at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate - Rand Realty from 2004 to 2006.

From 1997 to 2003, Karen worked as an Independent Consultant & Trainer at PC COMFORT, where they provided consulting services and training in the field of technology.

Karen Davern, PMP completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Finance from Manhattan College. Karen attended the college from 1985 until 1989. In June 2013, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
