Michael Scott-Nelson

Michael Scott-Nelson has held various roles in the software engineering industry since 2006. Michael began their career as a Teacher (Algebra II / Pre-calculus) and Music Director at The Kiski School in 2006. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Graduate Assistant at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Kansas. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Director (Digital Arts Graduate Programs) at Goucher College. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Software Engineer at bitdreams, llc and from 2017 to 2022, they were a Senior Software Developer and Software Developer at SAS. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at 33Across Inc.

Michael Scott-Nelson obtained their Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from Kenyon College in 2006, majoring in Music and Anthropology. Michael then went on to The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, where they received their Master of Music in 2010, specializing in Computer Music. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Musical Arts from The University of Kansas in 2013, with a focus on Composition & Music Technology.
