Julio Mateo

Julio C. Mateo is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community engagement, research, and public policy. Currently serving as a Community Voices Producer at WYSO Public Radio and a Senior Research Scientist at 361 Interactive LLC, Julio also offers expertise as an Advisor and Community Educator for the Coalition on Public Protection, where contributions include empirical research and drafting policy recommendations for the City of Dayton. With previous roles as a Cognitive Systems Engineer at Mile Two and a Steering Committee Member for the Action Research & Rights Collective at the University of Dayton, Julio has played significant roles in community-police relations and police reform initiatives. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Human Factors Psychology from Wright State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca.
