Robert Alvord is currently a QA & Support Technician at 3C Institute. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Consultant at The Center for Child & Family Health from March 2014 to April 2022. While at The Center, they provided expert-level recommendations to senior leadership for a wide range of services, ranging from planning and implementation of technological initiatives to strategic execution. Robert also managed and troubleshot electronic devices, including computers, phones and audio-visual equipment. Additionally, they oversaw various web-related tasks, including management of domain names.
Some of their noteworthy accomplishments include successfully improving communication between the Center and visitors by developing an intuitive website for Child Treatment Program and persuading the senior leadership to migrate IT department to a mobile posture that ensured seamless operations of organization throughout the pandemic.
Robert Alvord's educational career includes earning a BA in English Literature from North Carolina State University, a BA in Game Art & Design from The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham, and completing Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at North Carolina State University. Robert also completed the Basic Communications Officer Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, the Air & Space Basic Course - Squadron Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, and the Certified Instructor course at Air Instructor School, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. In addition, they have completed training in Advanced SPSS Analytical Software from New Horizons in Crystal City, Virginia, and a Visual Basic for Applications Course from Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
