Thea Cox is a Research & Technology Specialist at 3C Institute. Thea previously served as a Graduate Research Assistant at East Carolina University and as a Research Intern at Pirate Tutoring Center.

At East Carolina University, Thea supported and assisted with faculty research projects, organized and ran social experiments, and presented weekly reports on the status of ongoing lab experiments.

As a Research Intern at Pirate Tutoring Center, Thea computed statistics and frequencies on retention rates, early alert systems, and the effects of tutoring on college freshmen. Thea also conducted and interpreted bivariate statistical analyses using SPSS, including contingency tables, difference of means tests, correlation coefficients, and Ordinary Least Squares Regression.

Thea Cox majored in sociology at East Carolina University for both their undergraduate and graduate studies. Thea received their Bachelor's degree in Sociology in May of 2020 and their Master's degree in Sociology in December of 2020.
