Mike Richard

Head, Engineering at 3D LifePrints

Mike Richard is the current head of engineering at 3D LifePrints. Prior to this, they worked as commercial manager at Suzan Duty Free from February 2011 to June 2014. In this role, they were in charge of purchasing and procurement for the liquor, tobacco, watch, and accessory categories within Suzan Duty Free. This included monitoring global trends for procurement purposes, creating forecast orders and budgets for each individual category/supplier to maximize the efficiency of supply chain and ensure optimal inventory and stock levels at all time.

Richard also headed up promotional activity within the group, creating and implementing stock-ageing systems to liquidate slow moving/perishable stock across all core categories of the duty free. Mike also initiated staff incentive programs/competitions to boost morale and build loyalty. Additionally, they liaised with brand owners for activation and promotional support. Mike generated income through our prime branding space within the shops/bays.

Graphic design and support, social media management, website content creation, and presentation preparation for all bids/tenders were also part of their responsibilities. Mike also arranged and received international brand owners/representatives on visits to the country to discuss the furthering of business relations.

Mike Richard has a certification from MIT xPRO in Additive Manufacturing for Innovative Design and Production. Mike also has a certification from University of Wollongong in Bioprinting: 3D Printing Body Parts.
