Marius Storm-Olsen

Marius Storm-Olsen has extensive experience in the technology industry. Marius began their career at Trolltech in 2002, where they worked as a Software Engineer and eventually became a Team Lead for the Qt Core team. During their time at Trolltech, Marius was responsible for personnel management, hiring, training, mentoring, and performance reviews. Marius also played a key role in introducing the distributed version control system, Git, to the company. In addition, they implemented various improvements and features, including debugger support for Qt types in Microsoft Visual Studio.

After leaving Trolltech in 2010, Marius joined Water Power Industries AS as a Technical Lead, where they worked on designing and implementing control systems for a groundbreaking water turbine. Marius also worked on multiple prototypes and added self-optimizing algorithms to enhance the control system's performance.

In 2012, Marius joined Hue Technology North America, LLC as the VP of Technology and Strategic Alliances. Marius was responsible for leading the development of high-performance 3D visualization solutions for various industries, including oil and gas and medical imaging. Marius focused on areas such as algorithm optimization, GPU acceleration, and cluster-based rendering.

From 2008 to 2012, Marius also worked at Nokia as the Head of Qt OSS and later as the Qt Contributions Manager. In these roles, they managed teams and projects related to the development of the Qt framework. Marius also played a key role in modularizing Qt into multiple modules and repositories, allowing for more rapid development and testing.

In 2017, Marius joined Bluware, Inc. as the VP of Technology. Marius drove the development of the E&P specific Headwave application platform and the general-purpose HueSpace software platform. Marius was responsible for optimizing algorithms, accelerating GPU and multi-core performance, and leading the team in cross-platform 3D visualization.

Marius'smost recent position is as the Chief Operational Officer at 3LC.AI, starting in 2023. In this role, Marius is responsible for overseeing the company's operations.

Marius Storm-Olsen obtained a Master's degree in Management from Handelshøyskolen BI from 2008 to 2014. Earlier, they earned an Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of South-Eastern Norway from 1997 to 2000.
