Richard Liu

Richard Liu is a highly skilled professional currently serving as a Senior Manager in Strategic Insights within Corporate R&D Global Strategy & Analytics at 3M. With a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University, they trained as a scientist and have extensive hands-on experience in material science, technology commercialization, and data analytics. Since joining 3M in 2004, Richard has co-authored over 160 Records of Invention, leading to more than 60 patents, and has been recognized with multiple Circle of Technical Excellence & Innovation Awards. Their recent focus includes building predictive models and digital tools, while contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives and mentorship within the organization.
