Alicia Fitzmaurice has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in graphic design and marketing. Alicia started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at The Daily Campus, where they gained experience in creating graphics. Alicia then worked as a Web Production Intern at Rocket Software, contributing to the visual appeal of various web pages. Alicia also interned as a Marketing Intern at L3 Technologies, where they assisted in marketing efforts.
In 2017, Alicia joined UConn Center for Career Development as a Graphic Design Intern, creating digital and print assets to promote events and programs. Alicia also photographed student portraits for professional use. Alicia further enhanced their skills as a Marketing Assistant at UConn Recreation in 2018.
Alicia'sprofessional growth continued at City Brew Tours, where they held multiple roles. Initially, Alicia served as a Marketing and Design Specialist, creating marketing and sales materials, logos, and signage. Alicia later became a Graphic Designer, designing promotional materials for the company.
Alicia further expanded their expertise as a Graphic Designer at BJ's Wholesale Club. In this role, they designed the Smart Saver Mailer, a 65-page booklet distributed nationwide to club members containing coupon offers and seasonal discounts. Alicia also created promotions for vendor products across various channels, such as website banners, social media posts, and in-store signage.
Currently, Alicia is a Brand Designer at 3Z Brands, demonstrating their abilities in brand development and design. Throughout their career, Alicia has showcased proficiency in software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Drupal.
Alicia Fitzmaurice completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Digital Media and Design at the University of Connecticut from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. Alicia earned the Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite in April 2017. More recently, in 2023, they completed three online courses through Coursera: "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" in March, "Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate" in April, and "Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes" in May.
