Soo Hyun Kim has a diverse and extensive work history in the design industry. soo hyun currently serves as the UX Lead at Kakaobrain, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Design Officer at LifeSemantics from March 2020 to April 2021. From June 2017 to February 2020, Soo Hyun worked as a GUI/Brand Designer & Director at Cezu Bokjom. soo hyun also co-founded and served as CEO of The grap from September 2013 to May 2017. Earlier in their career, they had roles as a Senior UI Designer / AD Platform Design Team Director at Kakao Corp from March 2013 to August 2013, a GUI, Brand Designer / Group Leader at CJ E&M from August 2011 to March 2013, and a GUI Designer at Pulip Communication from July 2008 to August 2011. Soo Hyun also has experience as a Web Designer at Koryo Designment from April 2004 to June 2006.

Soo Hyun Kim attended Sun Moon University from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science. In addition to their degree, Soo Hyun Kim also obtained several certifications. In 2004, they obtained a certification in business technology from the Korean Association of Business Education. In 2003, they obtained a certification in Microsoft Office applications from the Korean Association of Business Education. In 2002, they obtained a Level 1 and Level 2 certification in Cisco networking from the Korean Educational Testing Institute.
