Shawnda H. has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Shawnda currently holds the position of Vice President, People and Culture at National 4-H Council. Prior to this, they were a Member at Chief. From 2017 to 2021, Shawnda worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer at the City of Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, they were responsible for developing and leading human capital strategy, managing departmental budget, and overseeing various HR functions. Before that, they served as the Director of Human Capital at Vencore Inc., where they recruited and developed HR teams and implemented strategies for employee engagement and high-performance culture. Shawnda also worked at Raytheon as a Manager in various HR roles, including HR Operations, Compensation & Career Development, and Principal HR Business Partner. Shawnda began their career at Honeywell as a Senior HR Generalist and EEO and Diversity Specialist. Overall, Shawnda has a proven track record of providing HR expertise and leadership in a range of organizations.

Shawnda H. has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Organization Development & Strategic Human Resources from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School. Shawnda also completed the Senior Executive Institute Program at the University of Virginia. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Compensation Professional® from the WorldatWork® Society of Certified Professionals.
