Igor Zaks, CFA

Igor Zaks, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Igor is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Risk Officer at 40seas, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Tenzor Ltd. from 2009 to 2016, where they held various roles including President and Managing Director. At Tenzor Ltd., Igor provided consultancy and interim management services for corporate restructurings, financial and risk management, working capital, and supply chain strategy.

Igor also served as an Advisory Board Member at Indigoblue Group of Companies from 2019 to 2023, where they provided strategic advice to the directors of IndigoBlue Mortgage Investment Corporation.

From 2018 to 2020, Igor was the President and CEO of TenzorAI, a company focused on helping suppliers, buyers, and financiers extract maximum value from supply chain data.

Prior to that, Igor worked at SCF Capital as the Managing Partner - Structured Finance and Executive Director - Structured Finance from 2006 to 2009. Igor was responsible for deal structuring, development of financial products, and client/partner relationships.

Igor holds a Sloan Fellowship from London Business School, which they completed in 2007. Igor also worked at Eurohypo AG as the Director of Public Finance and at Dell, where they held various roles including Head of Financing and Risk, Regional Businesses and UK, and Head of Structured Finance Solutions - EMEA.

Earlier in their career, Igor worked at Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Ltd as an Associate Director- Principal Emerging Markets, and at Citibank in roles such as Resident Vice President- Market Strategist and Head of Research/Russia and CIS.

Throughout their career, Igor has gained expertise in risk management, corporate restructuring, financial and supply chain strategy, and structured finance.

Igor Zaks, CFA, has an extensive education history. Igor began their educational journey at Novosibirsk State University (NSU) from 1986 to 1991, where they earned their Masters in Physics. In 1994, they obtained a Certificate in World Finance and Banking from the Economic Institute, University of Colorado in Boulder.

In 2006, Igor pursued further education and completed the Sloan Fellowship, MSc. program at the London Business School from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Management. Continuing their academic pursuits, they attended the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2017, where they achieved a GPLLM- Global Professional Master of Laws degree, specializing in Law.

Additionally, Igor has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. In 2000, they became a CFA Charterholder through the CFA Institute. In 2020, they received the CFA Institute 20 Year Milestone recognition. Furthermore, they completed a course on AI Applications in Marketing and Finance, credited by Wharton Online via Coursera in January 2022.
