Eric Chong

Eric Chong has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Eric started working at Sanmina-SCI in 2000 as an Information Systems Engineer and held this role until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they worked at Startronics as an Information Systems Engineer. In 2008, Eric joined Sanmina as a Senior IT Manager, where they remained until 2018. Eric then moved to 42Q, where they initially served as a Senior IT Manager from 2018 to 2021. Recently, they have taken on the role of Director at 42Q starting from June 2021.

Eric Chong has a strong educational background in the field of Information Technology. Eric obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Curtin University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued further academic success and completed their Master's degree in Information Systems from Curtin University between 2005 and 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Eric has also pursued various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Eric obtained the Certified Sake Sommelier certification from the SAKE SOMMELIER ASSOCIATION in May 2021. In September 2018, they completed the API Design and Fundamentals of Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors) course offered by Coursera. During the same period, Eric also acquired the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits from WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

Eric has further demonstrated their expertise by earning several certifications in the cloud computing domain. Eric became an AWS Certified Security — Specialty professional in June 2022, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional in September 2020, and a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect in October 2020. Additionally, they obtained the Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google Cloud in October 2020 and the Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification in July 2022.
