Andrew Hust

Andrew Hust has a diverse work experience spanning over 28 years. Andrew is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Verosint since March 2022. Prior to that, Andrew worked at The New York Times as a Staff Engineer from October 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining The New York Times, Andrew held the position of Enterprise Architect at CREDO Mobile from March 2017 to September 2021. Andrew also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at ClickBank from January 2016 to March 2017 and as a Software Engineer at DataStax from July 2015 to January 2016.

In 2014, Andrew was the Principal Software Architect at InteliVideo, where they completed several greenfield projects and refactored an existing mono-rails application. Andrew also established continuous deployment for both the frontend Rails application and backend analytics collector.

Andrew's previous role at ClickBank from April 2013 to July 2014 included responsibilities as an Enterprise Architect. Andrew oversaw development projects and their integration into operations, and developed Pytch, a mobile video ad platform, using Cassandra and Dropwizard.

As a Director of Software Development / Architect at ClickBank from June 2012 to April 2013, Andrew split their time between managerial and development responsibilities. Andrew also orchestrated the migration from SpringMVC to REST/ember.js for their account management and internal administrator tooling.

Andrew also worked as a Contract Developer at Fenix Systems Consulting from 2001 to 2006, developing database applications and working on hardware projects.

Throughout their career, Andrew has showcased their expertise in software engineering, architecture, and project management, working on various technologies and platforms such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, Cassandra, and Dropwizard.

Andrew Hust attended Metropolitan State University of Denver from 1997 to 2002, where they studied computer science. Andrew did not obtain a degree from this institution. In terms of additional certifications, Andrew is a Certified Architect on Apache Cassandra from O'Reilly Media, obtained in November 2015. Andrew also holds certifications as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
