Benoît Hauville has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. In 2004, they worked as a Trainee at Geoscan Abrotec. The following year, they completed another Trainee position at Total, where they focused on structural interpretation services. During this time, they conducted research and created a database on analog modeling of gravity-driven deformation along passive margins.
Benoît joined Total again in 2006 as a Geophysicist, where they worked until 2008. In this role, they were responsible for geophysical analysis and data interpretation.
From 2008 to 2010, Benoît worked as a Wellsite Geologist, overseeing geological operations in various drilling sites. Benoît acquired geological data, supervised service personnel, and made real-time decisions. Benoît successfully managed operations in different geological environments, including offshore and onshore locations.
Starting in 2010, Benoît became an Operation Geologist, coordinating Total's geological operations in regions such as Northern Africa, the Americas, and the North Sea. Benoît provided technical validation for well and data acquisition programs and supported affiliates in strategic operational decisions.
In 2012, Benoît was promoted to Head of Subsurface for the South America Atlantic Margin, where they led a subsurface team and managed drilling campaigns. Benoît prepared and interpreted geological data, as well as evaluated non-operated activities.
In 2017, Benoît took on a new role as Cofounder & Managing Director at 45-8 ENERGY, a position they still hold.
In 2018, they also took on the role of Geoscience Team Lead Exploration at Total, where they were responsible for exploration activities in Myanmar, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Benoît monitored O&G competition activity, guided group acquisitions and divestments strategy, and represented the company in various meetings.

Benoît Hauville obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Geosciences with a Geophysics Major from IFP School. Benoît attended this school from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they studied at UniLaSalle from 2002 to 2007, where they earned another Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geology. Benoît'seducational journey started at Institution Joint Lambert, where they completed their A Level with honors in Scientific studies. Benoît attended this institution from 1993 to 2002.
