Cecilia Yu, MS, PMP

Cecilia Yu, MS, PMP has a diverse work experience in the field of project management and clinical research. Cecilia is currently serving as an Associate Director of Project Management at 4D Molecular Therapeutics since April 2022. Prior to this, Cecilia worked at GRAIL, Inc. where they held several roles including Clinical Program Manager from January 2021 to April 2022, Senior Clinical Trial Manager from March 2018 to January 2021, and Clinical Trial Manager from September 2016 to March 2018. Before joining GRAIL, Inc., they worked at Gilead Sciences where they served as a Clinical Trial Management Associate from August 2014 to September 2016 and as a Clinical Project Assistant from December 2012 to July 2014. Prior to their stint at Gilead Sciences, Cecilia was employed at UCSF as a Clinical Research Coordinator from June 2009 to November 2012. Throughout their career, Cecilia has demonstrated expertise in project management, clinical trial management, study coordination, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Cecilia Yu, MS, PMP has a diverse education history. Cecilia began their academic journey at the University of California, Davis from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neurobiology and Behavior, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology. In 2010, they pursued their Master's Degree in Clinical Research Administration at Walden University, completing their studies in 2012.

Continuing their education, Cecilia attended UC Berkeley Extension from 2017 to 2019, focusing on Project Management. Although they did not obtain a specific degree during this period, they earned several certifications that enhanced their expertise in the field. In December 2019, they completed the Advanced Program in Project Management, the Professional Sequence in Project Human Resource Management, both offered by UC Berkeley Extension. Additionally, they obtained the Program in Project Management certification from UC Berkeley Extension in December 2018. Furthermore, Cecilia is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) as certified by the Project Management Institute in December 2020.
