Indrani Chakravarty

Indrani Chakravarty began their work experience in 2013 as a Junior Research Fellow / Research Associate at Assam Agricultural University (AAU). In this role, they conducted research on serosurveillance and the association of TLR, TH1-TH2 status, and viral genotypes in the susceptibility and severity of Peste des petits ruminants among goats and sheep in North East India. Their responsibilities included collecting blood samples, performing ELISA testing, extracting total RNA, synthesizing cDNA, and conducting PCR/RT-PCR. Indrani also carried out expression analysis of TLR 3/7/8 at mRNA based expression analysis by Real Time PCR.

Indrani Chakravarty obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Bangalore University in 2008. In 2010, they completed their Master's degree in Biotechnology from the same university. In 2017, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a Professional Certificate in Biotechnology through UCSC-Extension. Most recently, from 2020 to 2022, Indrani completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Biological science at California State University - East Bay.
