Andreia Gianotti Sommer is an accomplished professional in scientific operations, currently serving as the Director of Scientific Operations at EditCo since March 2024. Prior experience includes several leadership roles at Synthego Corporation, where contributions spanned from Senior Scientist to Director of Scientific Operations in Engineered Cells. Andreia's expertise encompasses gene editing projects involving hiPSCs and various cell lines, reinforced by a solid foundation in regenerative medicine established during tenure at Boston University School of Medicine. Andreia's career began with postdoctoral research at Boston Medical Center and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Universidade Federal de São Carlos, highlighted by significant research in molecular biology and protein biochemistry.
