Raja Vakil

Raja Vakil has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Raja is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Operations at 4D Molecular Therapeutics since June 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. for five years, starting in 2016. During their time at Ultragenyx, they held the positions of Associate Director of Clinical Programs from August 2018 to June 2021, and Senior Clinical Program Manager from October 2016 to August 2018. Before joining Ultragenyx, they worked at Gilead Sciences for four years as a Clinical Program Manager from November 2012 to September 2016. Raja began their career at Amgen in 2007, where they worked as a Clinical Research Study Manager for five years until October 2012.

Raja Vakil earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. This educational accomplishment took place from 2008 to 2014. Prior to their MBA, Raja Vakil studied International Business at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, in March 2021, Raja Vakil completed the "Investigations and CAPA for Clinical Environments, Instructor Led Training" certification from PathWise.
