Kathleen Greenough

Kathleen Greenough is the Senior Director of Client Solutions at 4G Clinical. Previously, they worked for Biogen as the Senior Manager of Clinical Financial Planning from March 2004 to March 2016. In this role, they led the consolidated reporting and analytics of all financials related to clinical trials, within and across Therapeutic Areas (TAs). This included oversight of financial consolidation, including roll up and review of financial data, as well as oversight of Global Clinical Operations (GCO) processes related to financial systems.

Greenough was also the project manager of an initiative to improve the quality of Investigator Grant tracking and reporting through a close collaboration with our CRO Partner, culminating in the development of a new tool to radically improve the quality of our Investigator Grant forecasts and accruals. As a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) for all financial matters with a clinical operations focus, they contributed to a clinical business strategy that reflects the gold standard of the industry and a clinical business plan that is efficient, transparent, responsive/flexible and integrated with the overall R&D priorities.

In addition, Greenough provided Financial Planning Support for key programs. This assistance included aiding program management and clinical development teams with long-term financial costing for drug program scenarios, as well as providing Clinical Operations teams with analytics and reporting to aid decision-making. Kathleen also liaised with R&D Business Planning for financial and operational forecast updates and to provide monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting and reporting with a global integration approach. Lastly, Greenough provided operational/financial analysis and quarterly operational budgeting/forecasting for study teams to ensure appropriate resource allocation.

Kathleen Greenough has a BA in French and Spanish from Gettysburg College and is Demo2Win! Certified.
