Nicolas Biber has a strong work experience background spanning over several years. Nicolas started their career in 2004 as a Watch Officer at Securitas AG, Swiss Guarding Company. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Demonstrator and Administrative Assistant at the University of Basel. Nicolas then joined Plymouth University as a Demonstrator and Research Assistant from 2009 until 2012. In 2012, they briefly worked as a Scientific Officer at the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN. Nicolas Biber holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Plymouth, which they obtained between 2009 and 2016. Prior to their Ph.D., they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Animal Biology at the University of Basel from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal and Plant Sciences from the University of Basel from 2002 to 2005. Nicolas Biber's education journey started with a liberal arts and sciences program at Mathematisch naturwissenschaftliches Gymnasium Basel, where they achieved the Eidgenössisch anerkannte Maturität Typus C degree between 1997 and 2001. Nicolas also holds certifications including the Certified Peer Review Course from Elsevier and the Introduction to Environmental Law and Policy from Coursera Course Certificates, both obtained in unspecified years. In 2011, they received a certification as a General Teaching Associate from Plymouth University.
